Youth Care
Youth Care Caribbean Netherlands wants every child to be able to grow up safely and healthy. Children who have fun and learn what their talents are and how they can contribute to society are best equipped for a successful future.
If a child's development is at risk, Youth Care has an obligation to intervene in order to safeguard the safety and development of the child. This is done by providing help with raising children, training and mediation, foster care and support for children in crisis situations.
Youth Care is also responsible for the execution of protection measures and juvenile probation. This involves providing support to children who have been placed under the supervision of a family guardian by a judge and to juvenile offenders who have been given a community service sentence or other sanction.
The well-being of the child is the primary focus of all Youth Care programmes.
