Applying for authorisation

You must possess authorisation for certain frequency use. The Authority for Digital Infrastucture (RDI) determines which frequency(ies) you can use, with which power and for which antenna. Authorisation is sometimes linked to a particular location, and the frequency(ies) can only be used at the location in question.

You also must request authorisation for the following applications:

  • Marine radio shore station
  • Radio broadcasting
  • Radio telephone / handheld
  • Fixed link
  • Aeronautical ground station
  • Other commercial applications

If you have doubts about whether you need authorisation, please contact the RDI.

The RDI will charge fees when issuing licenses. Click here for more information about the fees of the RDI.
