Conditions for parents/caretakers

  • Your child is in secondary education, or will start in the upcoming school year.
  • You have been registered in the basic administration of the Public Entity Bonaire for at least 5 years.
  • Your child is registered in the basic administration of the Public Entity Bonaire.
  • The combined net income of you as parent(s)/guardian(s) is not higher than:
    • $2,151.12 if you have 1 child
    • $2,330.38 if you have 2 children
    • $2,509.64 if you have 3 or more children

How to apply

You can submit an application during the special consultation hours at the SZW office in Playa, in June, July, and August:

It is also possible to submit an application digitally by downloading the application form and emailing it along with a scan or clear photo of the documents listed below to onderstand@rijksdienstcn.com.

If it is not possible for you to visit or submit a digital application, you can contact us to make an appointment.

We kindly ask you to come prepared and bring all the documents listed below. This way, we can process your request quickly.

Which documents do you need to bring?

  • Valid sédula of the applicant(s)
  • Valid sédula of the children
  • Payslips from the last 2 months
  • Bank statements from the last 2 months
  • If guardian/legal representative: a decision (beschikking) showing that you are responsible for the care of the child.
  • Proof of school enrolment or the last primary school report of your child(ren).
