SZW temporarily does not receive patients in connection with coronavirus

The RCN unit SZW on Bonaire temporarily closes its doors to patients in connection with prevention against COVID19 (the coronavirus). Normally, patients report to the examining physician on the third day of illness. As a preventive measure, the examining physician will work temporarily on the basis of a telephone consultation.

Head of the SZW unit, Mr. Brakke about this measure: “We receive patients in our office building where citizens also come for other arrangements, such as AOV pension. We currently do not consider it justifiable to receive frail elderly and patients in the same room.”

Employees can schedule a telephone appointment on the third day of illness instead of visiting the examining physician. This can be done by sending an email to loonderving@rijksdienstcn.com or by calling 715-8877. The examining physician will then call back for a medical consultation. Other services from the SZW unit will continue as usual. As has been known for some time, people with symptoms such as a cold, sore throat, cough or fever should not stop by at this time.
