Information for Educational Institutions about the Kingdom Scholarship

The following is expected of the Dutch educational institutions:

  • Informing students of the requirements for applying for a Kingdom Scholarship;
  • Verify that the selected students who are going to submit an application meet all the requirements;
  • Issue a completed, signed, and stamped 'Declaration of Educational Institution' form to the participating student;
  • Issue a certificate of enrolment to the participating student.

When a student asks the International Office of the relevant educational institution for cooperation in the submission of an application for the Kingdom Scholarship, a check will have to be made by the International Office before the Declaration of Educational Institution form is issued to the student.

The student must meet the following conditions:

  1. Is the student enrolled in a full-time programme at the institution;
  2. Did the student pass all subjects of the first year. This is not applicable to master students;
  3. Does the student meet all the requirements of the programme to undertake an internship or exchange.

The table below shows the additional requirements for an internship or study exchange:

  • The period of the exchange is between two and six months;

If everything is in order then the International Office issues a completed, signed, and stamped Declaration of Educational Institution form to the student for the student to submit along with the other requirements.

The number of scholarships is limited. As a result, allocation will take place on the basis of a draw in the presence of a civil-law notary. This applies to the places available for the MBO (Senior Secondary Vocational Education) and to the places available for the HBO (Higher Professional Education).
