Sickness

All employees in the Caribbean Netherlands are entitled to sickness benefit during periods of sickness. This is at least 80% of the daily wage. Employers are obliged to pay this. Employers can reclaim some of this amount from the SZW unit via the loss of wages benefit. Information for you as an employee or employer in the event of sickness is given below.
