Due to an issue, the child benefit payment at the end of February was not processed correctly. As a result, some people received too much, too little, or no child benefit at all. The RCN-unit Social Affairs and Employment (SZW) is aware of the issue and has identified what went wrong and which individuals were affected. The RCN-unit SZW sincerely regrets that this has happened and is doing everything possible to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.
How is this being resolved?
Parents or guardians who have not yet received child benefit for one or more children will receive the payment as soon as possible this week.
Overpaid child benefit amounts will be automatically settled at the end of this month. For example, if you have received double child benefit at the end of February, you should take into account that you will not receive a child benefit payment at the end of March. If you have already refunded the overpaid amount, you will receive your regular monthly child benefit payment at the end of March.
