Plenchi di Trabou offers wage subsidy to recognised training companies on Bonaire
All recognised training companies with a BBL student working and studying within the ‘construction’, ‘hospitality’, ‘technical’ or ‘green’ sectors can apply for a wage subsidy. This subsidy reimburses up to 50% of the minimum wage with a retroactive effect of up to one year.
The aim of this pathway is, among other things, to encourage companies to work with local students and prepare them for the labour market.
As a company, it is possible to qualify for a wage subsidy for the vocational training route (BBL). You work within the sectors ‘construction’, ‘catering’, ‘technology’ or ‘green’ and employ a BBL student. The BBL student must be supervised by an ROA-approved apprenticeship tutor employed by your organisation. This scheme also applies to students/employees who have been working within your organisation for some time.
How do you qualify as a company?
Are you a recognised apprenticeship company with a certified apprenticeship tutor? And do you employ a BBL student studying in the construction, hospitality, engineering or green sectors?
You can apply for the wage subsidy by sending an email to info@plenchiditrabou.com by the 31st of October with the following information:
- Completed application form. (You can request the form by email or collect it from Plenchi di Trabou).
- Undersigned ‘side letter’ (the document can be requested from us in person, by email or by phone).
- Copy of the articles of incorporations or extract from the Chamber of Commerce (not older than 6 months).
