Additional requirements will apply to applications for work and residence permits from 1 November 2026 onwards. Which documents you need depends on the type of permit you are applying for.
Working in paid employment or as a self-employed person
If you are applying for a work permit to work in paid employment or as a self-employed person, the following documents will also be required from 1 November onwards:
- a certificate of no debt;
- a summary wage statement (extention).
Family reunification
If you are applying for a residence permit for family reunification purposes, you must also submit a proof of income document.
An indefinite residence permit
Additional documents may also be necessary when applying for an indefinite residence permit. Which documents you need to submit depends on the purpose of previous stay.
Submit all documents yourself
NB: from 1 November onwards, applicants will have to submit all the documents needed for their application themselves. You can obtain the necessary declarations from the front desk of the Caribbean Netherlands Tax and Customs Administration, or by sending an email to balie@belastingdienstcn.nl.
