The education laws for the Caribbean Netherlands are similar to those of the European Netherlands. However, they differ in some areas. This is due to the fact that the laws have been adjusted to the local situation on the islands in some areas.

The four following education laws apply to the Caribbean Netherlands and are available online for consultation:

BES Primary Education Act (Wet primair onderwijs BES, WPO BES)

BES Secondary Education Act (Wet voortgezet onderwijs BES, WVO BES)

BES Adult and Vocational Education Act (Wet Educatie en beroepsonderwijs BES)

Social Opportunity Pathways for the Young Act (Wet Sociale Kanstrajecten Jongeren)
