As a receptionist, you are the first point of contact for our visitors and clients. You welcome everyone who visits, answer their questions, and refer them to the appropriate person or department.
You listen carefully to clients' questions and needs, assisting them accurately and providing them with reliable information. You have a positive demeanor and a calm personality. You work meticulously and know how to handle clients' private data with discretion. You take initiative and are willing to provide support where needed.
You are administratively proficient and possess excellent communication skills. You are service-oriented but also know how to set your boundaries.
Job Responsibilities
- You assist clients/visitors with their questions, requests, and modifications;
- You refer clients to the website for the correct forms and healthcare schemes;
- You ensure the issuance of insurance certificates to insured parties;
- You are responsible for relaying administrative modifications of the insured parties to the insured administration department;
- You handle incoming phone calls and connect them to the appropriate person;
Other
- You perform tasks that are an extension of your primary function and may be assigned other relevant duties by your supervisor.

Care and Youth Caribbean Netherlands (ZJCN) prioritizes the safety of children. If a child's development is at risk, ZJCN has the responsibility (whether through compulsion or persuasion) to ensure a safe living environment so that the child can develop in a protected setting. The youth policy in Caribbean Netherlands involves two levels of government: the public bodies are primarily responsible for prevention and first-line care, and the Ministry of Public Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS) is responsible for second and third-line youth care, which includes: complex multiple support needs, foster care, and the implementation of family guardianship.

Job requirements:
- You have an MBO (vocational education) working and thinking level;
- You have a good command of Papiamentu, Dutch, English, and Spanish;
- You have knowledge of the organization and functional contacts of the healthcare office (specifically, insured parties);
- You have experience in assisting clients by phone in a customer and service-oriented manner.
What do we offer?
- A competitive salary in initial salary scale 4 and job salary scale 5, monthly of at least $ 1.842,- and at most $ 2.741,-, in case of a 36-hour working week. Assignment to a pay scale based on knowledge and experience;
- Holiday allowance (8.33% of the annual income);
- A thirteenth month (8.33% of the annual income);
- A vitality Allowance;
- A pension provision placed with Pensioenfonds Caribisch Nederland (PCN);
- 182 holiday hours in case of a full-time employment (36 hour) per year;
- A temporary appointment of one year with the prospect of a permanent appointment for good performance and a positive assessment result
- A relocation package for candidates who react from outside Bonaire.

- Residents of the Caribbean part of the Netherlands (external);
- Other candidates (external);
- Interviews for this position will take place between July 7 and 18.
Appointment requirements
- A Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG);
- A medical examination for admission to the pension fund (participation is mandatory, including a personal contribution to it);
- Dutch citizenship.

- The salary is in US dollars which is the official currency in the Caribbean Netherlands;
- The Caribbean Netherlands has its own tax regulations. Income above the tax-free allowance ($21,373 in 2025) will be taxed at a rate of 30.4% in payroll tax in the first bracket; In the second bracket, a tax rate of 35.4% applies.
