ZJCN Logistics Planner

As a logistics planner at ZJCN you will be responsible for the entire logistics organisation relating to medical referrals and official trips and for the smooth planning and coordination of transport and accommodation on behalf of both clients and colleagues.
You have a positive nature and a calm personality. You are able to work accurately and handle clients’ personal data with care. You like to take the initiative and are prepared to support others where necessary.
You are proficient when it comes to administrative tasks and have excellent communication skills. You are service-oriented but are also able to set boundaries.
Duties
- You will be responsible for the logistical organisation of medical referrals and official trips.
- You will process reservations upon the request of colleagues.
- You will coordinate travel schedules and book travel tickets or process passenger lists.
- You will make sure that travel details are communicated on time and correctly to the case manager or colleague and provide travel summaries.
- When trips take place you will monitor efficiency and costs and make sure that the focus is always on the client.
- You will provide support in the event of any changes or problems during the trip.
- You will act as a point of contact for questions or calamities during trips.
- You will identify and report problems in the travel process and propose improvements in order to optimise services.
The organisation
Care and Youth Caribbean Netherlands (Zorg en Jeugd Caribisch Nederland, ZJCN) is part of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS) and is involved in healthcare and youth care in the Caribbean Netherlands. In contrast to the situation in the European Netherlands, ZJCN (VWS) is also responsible for health insurance and youth care in the Caribbean Netherlands. As a consequence, the ZJCN’s programme directorate is not only responsible for policy and legislation, but also for implementation. The ZJCN programme directorate is the point of contact within VWS for the countries of Curaçao, Aruba and St. Maarten and for the other ministries.

Job requirements
- You have a senior secondary vocational education (MBO4) level of professional and intellectual ability.
- You have a good command of Papiamentu, Dutch, English and Spanish.
- You are familiar with the healthcare office’s organisation and functional contacts (especially policyholders).
- You have experience with speaking to clients on the phone in a way which demonstrates that you put the client and service first.
What do we offer?
- An appointment in accordance with the Rechtspositiebesluit ambtenaren BES (Legal Status Decree on Civil Servants BES);
- A competitive salary in initial salary scale 7 and job salary scale 8, monthly of at least $ 2.436,- and at most $ 3.806,- in case of a 36-hour working week. Assignment to a pay scale based on knowledge and experience;
- Holiday pay (8.33% of the annual income);
- A end of year bonus (8.33% of the annual income);
- Vitality allowance;
- A pension provision placed with Pensioenfonds Caribisch Nederland (PCN);
- 182 holiday hours for a working week of 36 hours per week;
- A temporary appointment of one year, with the prospect of a permanent appointment for good performance and a positive assessment result;
- A relocation scheme for candidates who respond from outside the island.

- Official RCN staff on Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba (internal);
- Residents of the Caribbean part of the Netherlands (external);

Appointment requirements
- A Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG);
- A medical examination for admission to the pension fund (including a personal contribution);
- Dutch citizenship.
Good to know for those interested outside the Caribbean Netherlands
- The salary is in US dollars which is the official currency in the Caribbean Netherlands;
- The Caribbean Netherlands has its own tax regulations. Income above the tax-free allowance of $21.373,- in 2025 is taxed in the first bracket, up to an income of $51,250, at 30.4%; In the second bracket, a tax rate of 35.4% applies.
