The Talent Development Program Caribbean Netherlands (TOP CN) is a one-year work and training program, designed specifically for recently graduated professionals with Caribbean roots. You get to work at a government organization, such as a Public Entity or the Rijksdienst Caribisch Nederland (RCN), in a position that suits you. During the traineeship, you receive intensive support and plenty of opportunities to put your knowledge and skills into practice.

What can you expect?

  • A position that suits you: You apply for the traineeship, and we make sure you are matched with a position that suits your studies and interests.
  • Personal growth: Through coaching, training, and supervision, you are not only working on your career, but also on your personal development.
  • Advancement: You start in your position in August or September 2026. You receive a one-year agreement for this position. The TOP CN program starts on 14 September 2026 and lasts for 10 months.

No job security can be offered after the first year, however there is question of a best-efforts obligation on the part of the employer.

Who are we looking for?

  • You have a Higher Professional Education (HBO) or University Education (WO) diploma (obtained at most three years ago).
  • You have roots in the Caribbean Netherlands and are keen to work and live on one of the islands.
  • You speak Dutch and Papiamentu (English is preferred) 
  • You are eager to learn, ambitious, and genuinely want to make a difference for Bonaire, St. Eustatius or Saba.
