Last flight CN-Express announced
The last flight of the CN-Express is scheduled for Friday, June 29. The temporary air connection between Bonaire and the Windward Islands has been operational for a month longer than initially planned. Starting the first of July, Winair will include the connection between the Windward Islands and Bonaire in their regular flight schedule.
The CN-Express was established through a collaboration between the Ministries of the Interior and Kingdom Relations (BZK) and Infrastructure and Water Management (IenW). After the hurricanes Irma and Maria, they saw the need for extra accessibility to the Windward Islands. The ministries joined forces and by the end of February 2018 they realized the CN-Express for a period of three months.
Recently Winair announced a flight expansion. As of July 1st, the airline will operate Curaçao from St. Maarten seven times a week, after which they’ll fly to Bonaire four times a week and to Aruba three times a week. Because of this new air link, it is no longer necessary to maintain the CN-Express connection with the Windward islands.
