From March 2nd to 6th, Statistics Netherlands (CBS) is organizing Data-Vibes Theme Week. Data and figures may sound abstract or boring. But what if they were about young people on Bonaire? About their health, leisure activities and, future plans? During this week, CBS makes data visible, discussable, and relevant for young people and their communities.
The theme week is specifically aimed at young people between the ages of 12 and 16 and will take place at the Biblioteka Públiko Boneiru. Young people can participate in interactive workshops on March 3rd and 5th. They can also talk with CBS staff and discover what data reveals about the lives of young people on Bonaire. During the week, figures will be shared about how young people spend their free time and how they view their future, among other things.
With this week, CBS wants to show that data aren't spreadsheets, but stories. Stories that help people make better choices, at school, in policy, and personally.
Statistics Netherlands (CBS) cordially invites all ages to visit the Public Library of Bonaire and discover what statistics reveal about young people on Bonaire.
