Jolien Kuitert

She succeeds Mr Jacques van Eck, who is stepping down after serving one year in the committee’s set-up phase and two full terms of office, totaling twelve years. CBP BES is very grateful for his years of dedication, commitment and valuable contribution to the protection of personal data in the Caribbean Netherlands.

With the appointment of Jolien Kuitert, the committee welcomes a highly experienced professional with an impressive track record at both national and international level. Throughout her career, she has held various positions within the justice chain, particularly within the Public Prosecution Service, where she has worked extensively on complex (international) cooperation and legal protection.

Her broad expertise in international cooperation, governance and legal protection makes her a valuable addition to the committee. The combination of strategic insight and operational experience aligns well with the challenges CBP BES faces in an increasingly digital society.

The committee looks forward to working with Jolien Kuitert over the next six years to further strengthen the protection of personal data on Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba.
