Reclassering CN launches campaign on juvenile criminal law: “Making mistakes is easy. coming back stronger is power.”
In the first week of August, the Stichting Reclassering Caribisch Nederland is launching a campaign to better inform young people and their parents about juvenile criminal law, particularly juvenile probation services. Through social media, radio, and educational sessions in schools, the campaign explains what happens when a young person comes into contact with the justice system and how juvenile probation can provide support.

The message is clear: making mistakes can happen, but how you deal with them makes all the difference.
The campaign includes social media posts, two episodes of the radio program Keda Informa (on August 28 and September 4), and guest lessons in schools. The radio segments will explain what juvenile probation involves and what young people and their parents can expect when supervision and guidance are needed.
“I hope the message truly hits home with young people and their parents. That’s what we’re doing it for,” says Eric Sinke, Stichting Reclassering Caribisch Nederland.
The campaign targets youth who are under supervision, those at risk, and parents who want to support their child. On the website of the Caribbean Netherlands Probation Foundation, there are practical tools to help set goals, keep agreements, and handle challenging situations.
