Fire departments St. Eustatius and Saba intensify cooperation and operational preparation
Recently, the fire departments of Saba and St. Eustatius further strengthened their cooperation through an intensive team exchange. During this period, both teams trained side by side in realistic scenarios, including aircraft firefighting (VBB) and technical emergency response (THV). These joint exercises not only improved cooperation, but also gave both teams deeper insights into each other's working methods and operational challenges.
A crucial part of the exchange was participation in the annual Periodic Preventive Medical Examination (PPMO) test, which ensures the physical readiness of the firefighters. This way, they remain optimally prepared to perform their essential tasks safely and effectively.
Through this joint effort, the fire departments increase their readiness and effectiveness to respond quickly and efficiently to emergency situations. This not only strengthens internal ties, but also directly contributes to the safety of the communities on both islands.
