Ministry alerts Dutch nationals in Haiti to French aid
Sick or vulnerable Dutch nationals in Haiti may be able to join evacuation flights from the French. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is actively alerting this group of Dutch nationals to the possibility of leaving Haiti.
The French Foreign Ministry announced Sunday that it is conducting flights from Haiti for vulnerable French people. The French have informed the Netherlands that they "may have limited" space for sick and needy people from other EU partner countries during the evacuations. If you are ill or in need of help and have an urgent reason to leave the country, we would like to ask you to contact the Contact Center of NetherlandsWorldwide. You can do this by phone at +31 247 247 247.
As yet, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not received any requests for help from Dutch citizens in Haiti. The Ministry once again calls on Dutch nationals and residents of the Caribbean part of the Kingdom in Haiti: please register through the information service: https://informatieservice.nederlandwereldwijd.nl. This also applies to persons who have a permit for lawful residence in the Netherlands or a valid permit for Aruba, CuraƧao, St. Maarten, Bonaire, St. Eustatius or Saba.
If you have family or friends in Haiti who meet these requirements, please encourage them to register. Point them to this service, and ask them to sign up using the "Sign up + register with embassy" option at https://informatieservice.nederlandwereldwijd.nl.
