The Royal Netherlands Marechaussee more visible on the road due to driver training
In the period from Monday, May 22nd to Monday, June 5th , the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee (KMar) can often be seen on the public roads of Bonaire in connection with a driving skills training. During this training period, optical and sound signals will be used regularly.
Under the supervision of a certified instructor from the Education and Training Center Driving (OTCRIJ) of the Ministry of Defense, KMar employees are trained and assessed on how they can move quickly and, above all, safely to an (emergency) report. The training takes place on working days, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The Royal Netherlands Marechaussee requests residents and road users of Bonaire to be aware of the training and to respond to emergency signals in the usual manner.
