RCN Communication provides training in Curaçao

At the request of the government of Curaçao, two employees of the RCN communication department provided a training last week to communication experts from the various ministries of the government of Curaçao.

Shurandy Thodé, digital media advisor - RCN and Lucia Beck, communications manager - RCN received a small token of appreciation for their efforts from Maharo Isenia, interim director of Communications Directorate AZ.

This, among other things, in the context of the government response (Kabinetsreactie op Voorlichting van de Raad van State en Interdepartementaal Beleidsonderzoek Koninkrijksrelaties) in which more cooperation between the countries and islands within the Dutch Kingdom is encouraged.

In April of this year, the interim Director of Communications for General Affairs of the government of Curaçao was in Bonaire to see how the Communications Department of RCN functions. He also received an introduction to the various tools that the Communications Department uses to be able to do its work.

This was followed by an invitation from Curaçao to give the following training courses: ‘Social Media Fundamentals’, ‘Relationship between media and communication’ and ‘Use of social media monitoring tools’.

Last week the advisors from RCN were in Curaçao to give these training sessions to approximately 20 communication experts from the government of Curaçao. The responses were very positive and arrangements were made about providing more training and exchanging knowledge and experience between the two organizations in the field of communication.
