Childcare Caribbean Netherlands
From June 19th to 21st, 2018, civil servants from the public entities of Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba and the Ministries of Social Affairs and Employment, Education, Culture and Science and Health, Welfare and Sport met in a working meeting on Bonaire about childcare in the Caribbean Netherlands.
In the working meeting it has been investigated where and how public entities and ministries can cooperate. The first steps have also been taken towards a joint multi-annual plan of approach. Follow-up steps will be taken after the summer so that an administrative decision can be taken before the end of this year. In autumn a consultation is planned with the administrators from childcare and education, to hear from them what they think of the plans.
All participants in the meeting expressed the importance of good cooperation. They have made working arrangements for the follow-up in the autumn.
