GPs Bonaire agree on path to future with ZVK

The general practitioners of Bonaire signed on January 27th a so-called Letter of Intent together with the Healthcare Insurance Office Caribbean Netherlands (ZVK).

The Bonaire’s general practitioners Lont, Bernabela, Castro de Castro Palomina, Castro Tase, Schräder, Van der Vaart, Hermelijn and Miranda after signing the renewal of their contracts with the ZVK, in front of the head of ZVK, mr. Angel Bermudez, Gert-Jan Ter Braak, head medical advisory and Rex van Ingen, account manager of the ZVK.

By means of this Letter of Intent, agreements on the future of general practitioner care on Bonaire are guaranteed.

For example, the parties have agreed that work will be carried out on a long-term agreement. To this end, various building blocks have been identified which will further increase the quality of care. Reducing of the workload for general practitioners, location policy and drawing up performance indicators have also been discussed .

The Healthcare Insurance Office is pleased with this important step and looks forward with confidence to its collaboration with Bonaire's general practitioners.
