Change in Overtime Compensation for KPCN Ranks
In the Sector Consultation Caribbean Netherlands, the director of the Rijksdienst Caribisch Nederland (RCN), Tim Muller, and the labor unions have reached an agreement on a change in the overtime compensation for police personnel.
This concerns the overtime compensation for employees with the rank of aspirant (apprentice), agent (officer), brigadier (sergeant), or hoofdagent (senior officer). For them, the same system will apply as for other RCN civil servants, namely a percentage of the hourly wage. That percentage is 150% or 200%, depending on the time at which overtime was worked.
The change in the overtime compensation involves a substantial income improvement that takes effect immediately. The compensation had remained unchanged until now since 10 October, 2010.
