What can I do if my situation has changed?

If there are new facts or changed circumstances after you have received a negative decision (you did not receive a compensation payment) regarding your application, you can submit a revision request. Schadefonds will then require supporting documents about the new facts or changed circumstances. Your application will be reconsidered and you will receive a new decision.

An example: the Schadefonds rejected your application because the investigation was still ongoing and it was therefore not sufficiently clear what exactly had happened (reason, facts and circumstances of the crime). However, now the investigation has been completed and this shows exactly what happened. In that case, you can submit a revision request.
