Central Dialogue Bonaire issues cry of emergency to cabinet on coronacrisis
Central Dialogue Bonaire, the consultative body at administrative level consisting of the Executive Council, Council Consultation Employers (Raad Overleg Werkgevers, ROW), USIBO and the Chamber of Commerce, has sounded the alarm in a letter to Minister Knops (BZK): “The society of Bonaire is also threatened in all sections because of the Corona crisis: health care, jobs, investments and purchasing power are all at stake.”
The Central Dialogue Bonaire asks the Minister to fully involve Bonaire in all emergency measures that are and will be developed for the Netherlands and offers cooperation. In addition, government, companies and institutions on the island will of course also contribute according to their capacity.
Central Dialogue Bonaire also hopes that, through its composition, it can contribute to the unanimity of the island in its external threat.
