Emergency regulation SZW
The measures related to the coronavirus have a major impact on the economy and society of the Caribbean Netherlands. Since the 13th of March, 2020, there is a temporary emergency regulation for employers, independent entrepreneurs and former employees on Bonaire, Saba and St. Eustatius. They can receive an allowance for their wage costs or income.
The emergency regulation was supposed to expire on the 12th of July, 2021. But it will be extended by three months until the 12th of October, 2021. This extension was established in consultation with local representatives of the business community. For employers and employees, the regulation will change on a few points to promote the restart of the economy. The regulation remains the same for independent entrepreneurs and former employees.
